Project Description
This project aims to help build consensus for the Post-2015 Development Agenda in the lead-up to its expected adoption at a United Nations Summit in September 2015. The Post-2015 Development Agenda aims to define the global development framework for 2015-2030. The project supports the creation of a Strategy Hub within the Office of the Special Advisor to the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General on Post-2015. The Office is a key factor in the process of defining the new development agenda. The Strategy Hub seeks to build support across stakeholder groups and resolve challenges that arise during the negotiations on the Agenda. The project strengthens the ability of the Office to undertake the political and substantive analysis advocacy outreach coordination and facilitation needed to achieve an ambitious and achievable Post-2015 Agenda to which all UN member countries can agree.
Expected Results
The expected intermediate outcomes for this project include: (1) increased consensus on the Post-2015 Development Agenda outcome; and (2) improved coordination among and outreach to key Post-2015 stakeholders.
