Project Description

This project aims to support the municipality of Lucani and Serbia Waters to restore and improve flood protection systems on river Bjelica through the reconstruction of critical embankments that were damaged by the floods of May 2014. It supports the development of Serbia Waters’ capacity for performing works on the embankments on river Bjelica. The project implements emergency repair works on the riverbed in the downstream section of the river and main tributaries. These activities lead to the restoration and improvement of the flood protection system in the Municipality of Lu ani.

Expected Results

The expected result of this project is: restored and improved flood protection system for the Municipality of Lu ani through reconstruction of critical embankments on the river Bjelica.
