Project Description
This project supports the participation of approximately 30 researchers from developing countries at the 15th Annual Global Development Conference (GDN) under the theme of “Structural Transformation in Africa and Beyond”. It aims to better understand the nature and prospects of structural transformation in Africa learning from and applying other transformation experiences around the world. The defining features of the GDN conference are the empowerment of researchers in developing countries the strengthening of research skills and the mobilization of research for public policy. Beneficiaries include local researchers policy makers and development practitioners in developing countries.
Expected Results
The expected intermediate outcome for this project include: (1) increased knowledge and use of knowledge about structural transformation in Africa and other developing countries by the conference participants; and (2) increased networking among the participants.
