Project Description
The primary objective of the project is the provision of timely and cost-effective services under the Kenya Program Support Unit (PSU) contract and other appropriate providers to support CIDA’s development program in South Sudan. Specifically services provided to South Sudan could include: i) Professional & Technical Services: Provision of consulting and professional services including field monitoring compliance measurement and other forms of advice and guidance especially in the areas of the environment gender equality food security and maternal and child health. ii) Support Services: Support to CIDA initiatives especially in terms of contracting local resources to liaise and coordinate with local partners and providing logistical support services to incoming Government of Canada (GoC) missions. iii) Administrative Services: Various administrative services to enhance the day-to-day operation of CIDA’s field office located in Juba South Sudan in accordance with CIDA’s guidelines for Program Service Units (PSUs).
Expected Results
Although initiatives such as these serve as important mechanisms to support the effective delivery of Canada’s development assistance no direct development outcomes are attributable to them.
