Project Description

The project aims to contribute to free fair and credible elections in Kenya by: 1) improving electoral operations and processes; 2) strengthening the electoral commission's institutional capacity; and 3) increasing citizen participation and engagement. An independent and professional electoral body is a critical component of advancing democracy in Kenya.

Expected Results

The expected intermediate outcomes for this project include: improved electoral operations and processes; improved elections management by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission; and increased civic participation and engagement in elections particularly for women and youth.
