Project Description
This project supports the Technical Pool of Technical and Financial Partners (TFPs) in Mali. It is a joint initiative aimed at providing technical support to TFPs in order to facilitate the implementation of principles and practises for improved aid effectiveness as outlined in the Paris Declaration and the Accra Agenda for Action. The following are the specific objectives of the Technical Pool: (1) To improve the effectiveness of the coordination of the TFPs and the operation of the various thematic coordination groups particularly at the sectoral level; (2) To monitor the agenda for harmonization and alignment primarily through the implementation monitoring and evaluation of the Action Plan of the Joint Assistance Strategy of Mali and the implementation various joint activities; (3) The capitalization of experiences and progress in the field of harmonization and alignment; and (4) The facilitation of consultation and dialogue between the Government of Mali and the TFPs.
Expected Results
The expected intermediate outcomes for this project include improved efficiency in delivering development assistance which benefits the poorest populations in Mali in particular women and children.
