Project Description
This project is one component of CIDA's support for Mozambique's public sector reform. CIDA supports Mozambique's Technical Unit for Public Sector Reform (UTRESP) which aims to improve the delivery of public services strengthen the civil service decrease the level of corruption in public institutions and strengthen the capacity of district level governments to contribute to their own development. The project is designed to undertake activities such as: restructuring government ministries to function more efficiently; implementing a national public administration training system; implementing the public service HIV/AIDS and Gender Equality workplace strategies; implementing the National Decentralization Strategy; training local district councils to manage financial resources; and conducting the second National Survey on Governance and Corruption.
