Project Description
The project funds the Technical Assistance Capacity Building Monitoring and Evaluation Component of CIDA’s Asset Protection for Food Security Project (A032711-001). Funding is provided primarily for consultancies and studies in support of the Productive Safety Net Program a large national food security initiative in Ethiopia designed to reduce vulnerability to chronic food insecurity by using a more development-oriented approach addressing the root causes of food insecurity. The project is managed by CIDA. All CIDA disbursements for this project have been completed.
Progress & Results Achieved
End of project results as of May 2010 include: technical assistance provided through local contracting of expertise in the areas of financial management communications public works and environment procurement donor coordination and information technology.
