Results achieved by this project which ended in March 2013 include: Over 150 000 forest and 50 000 fruit tree plantlets were produced. Helping to increase local producers’ income and contributing to reforestation. More than 2 400 metres of the Charlier River were rehabilitated and 8 000 cuttings of elephant grass were planted along a two-kilometre stretch of land to help riverbanks resist high water stages and prevent floods. More than 200 men and women in the target communities were sensitized to the potential impacts of climate change and to reforestation activities undertaken in their region.
