Project Description
The objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of the Government of South Africa to deliver a farmer settlement support program for land reform beneficiaries. The Government of South Africa has specifically requested the University of Pretoria to execute this project. The purpose of the project is to support sustainable settlement of beneficiary communities through improved governance of the land restitution program. Expected results include: i) an improved government service delivery in pre and post-settlement support for emerging farmers; and ii) an improved capacity of land restitution beneficiaries to manage emerging commercial enterprises with a specific focus on gender equity.
