Project Description

This project provided $4 million through a World Bank-managed Trust Fund to support the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC)'s land administration reform process. The funds provided by CIDA target strategic elements of several World Bank-financed Land Management and Administration Project (LMAP) activities. Technical assistance is contributing to the following expected results: 1) national policies and a regulatory framework for land administration are developed and functioning; 2) capacity of relevant RGC departments and institutions particularly the Ministry of Land Management Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC) is increased; 3) land titling program and land registration system are developed and functioning; 4) appropriate dispute resolution mechanisms are developed and strengthened.
