Project Description
This project aims to strengthen the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Secretariat's capacity to fulfill its mandate to support the development objectives of the countries of the Eastern Caribbean. The project focuses on strengthening administrative management financial management research data collection and analysis human resource management and communications and public awareness. The thrust of the project is to create a "centre of excellence" that is more focused viable and relevant to OECS member states and donor countries.
Progress & Results Achieved
Results achieved as of March 31 2015 include: (1) the organization's Gender Policy and Action Plan were completed; (2) training on gender mainstreaming within projects and programs using basic tools were developed and implemented; (3) the Gender Performance Measurement Framework was completed; (4) The Commission’s Risk Register was completed to improve risk management and overall due diligence; (6) Records Management software was installed to ensure a greater level of accountability and accessibility to reliable information for decision-making; and (7) the organization’s Performance System was updated and core competencies and job descriptions for staff revised. These results have contributed to better management of resources and delivery of services by the OECS Commission.
