Accommodations buildings for women in the Jordanian armed forces

This project aims to support the construction of 2 accommodation buildings for women in the Jordanian Armed Forces (FAJ) to enable greater participation and integration of women soldiers within the Northern and Central Regional Commands. Ultimately this project aims to provide the FAJ with an infrastructure that enables them to recruit and deploy women soldiers in order to increase their effectiveness to respond to potential security threats. Project activities include: (1) engaging external contractors to construct 2 buildings to house the women; (2) supplying and delivering the equipment and furniture required for these buildings; and (3) conducting regular site visits to monitor progress.

The expected results of this project include: (1) enhanced security response capability of the JAF through women platoon deployment across Northern and Central Regional Commands; and (2) enhanced ability for JAF women soldiers to seek entry advancement and leadership roles within Northern and Central Regional Commands
