Project Description

This project aims to improve education outcomes for flood-affected populations in Pakistan particularly for girls by restoring education services that the country’s 2022 floods disrupted. It seeks to increase the provision of and access to safe inclusive gender-sensitive education for girls through efforts to reduce physical structural and social barriers to girls’ education in flood-affected communities. The project also aims to strengthen the disaster-preparedness and climate resiliency of schools school communities and other key education stakeholders.

Expected Results

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased provision of and access to safe inclusive gender-sensitive education for girls in flood-affected communities in Pakistan; and (2) improved disaster-preparedness and climate resiliency in education delivery in flood-affected communities in Pakistan particularly for women and girls.
