Project Description

This project supports the United Nations (UN) in increasing the meaningful participation of women in peace operations. Project activities include: (1) creating a network for uniformed women in UN peace operations; (2) accelerating implementing the Women Peace and Security agenda; (3) implementing strategic communications to support gender-responsive and accountable UN peacekeeping; and (4) training uniformed women on specialized tasks in United Nations mission headquarters.

Expected Results

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased access to specialized training information and advice for uniformed women in UN peace operations; (2) improved gender-responsive and accountable leadership skills in UN peace operations; and (3) enhanced awareness of progress made across the Women Peace and Security Agenda including on the UN Uniformed Gender Parity Strategy.
