Project Description
This project supports the South African government to improve accountability efficiency and transparency in the public administration to promote inclusive and gender-responsive governance. Project activities include: (1) developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to prevent and address all forms of harassment; (2) enhancing anti-corruption and discipline management systems; and (3) implementing robust lifestyle audits and optimizing procurement policies to promote sustainability and accountability within the climate and energy sectors in South Africa. The project aims to reach 12 000 public servants within 49 national departments 114 provincial departments 8 cities and 205 local municipalities.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) improved prevention protection and response against harassment including sexual harassment across public administrations in South Africa; (2) strengthened oversight management and professional conduct for ethics integrity and disciplinary management matters in the public administration including the provincial and municipal levels of government; and (3) strengthened public procurement corruption prevention monitoring and detection focusing on climate and energy sectors.
