Project Description

This project aims to increase the inclusive sustainable and gender-sensitive socio-economic well-being of Venezuelan migrants and refugees and vulnerable members of host communities especially women and Indigenous groups. Project activities include: (1) providing support to Venezuelan migrants and refugees to regularize their migration status; (2) training participants on soft and technical skills to enable them to access employment opportunities; (3) working with private sector companies to address barriers to decent work; and (4) supporting government capacity strengthening to ensure inclusive equitable and gender-sensitive livelihoods programming.

Expected Results

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased participation in sustainable gender-sensitive formal jobs and self-employment income generating activities by Venezuelan migrants and refugees and host community members. This includes women and Indigenous people; and (2) improved safe inclusive gender-responsive and environmentally fair practices in government and private sector. This aims to contribute to gender equality and promote inclusive and equitable economic integration of Venezuelan migrants and refugees and host community members especially women and Indigenous people in Arequipa Ica Lima/Callao and Piura Peru.
