Project Description
This project with Underprivileged Children's Educational Programs (UCEP) Bangladesh aims to provide 27 000 underprivileged children and youth especially girls and women including those with disabilities with gender-responsive and inclusive vocational education and training to gain employable skills leading to decent work. Project activities include: (1) providing gender-responsive vocational education to grades 6 to 10 underprivileged children as foundation for skills development; (2) providing training on gender-responsive green and market-driven skills to underprivileged youth and young adults; and (3) providing training on gender-responsive pedagogy greening skills competency-based curriculum learning material development and project management to teachers.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) strengthened gender-responsive vocational education and market-driven skills training for underprivileged children and youth especially women and girls; (2) improved gender-responsiveness of UCEP schools and institutes and selected employers to create and ensure safe and inclusive education and work environments for women and girls; and (3) enhanced organizational capacity at UCEP to provide gender-responsive quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) services.
