Project Description
This project aims to further build the capacity of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Network to respond and recover from major health-security events. It builds on the outcomes of previous phases of the project (2022 to 2023). This project continues to strengthen regional capacity to deliver and maintain ongoing EOC training in the region and establish a sustainable training program that ASEAN member states can access through the ASEAN EOC Network. Project activities include: (1) delivering EOC trainings; (2) identifying ASEAN EOC instructors; (3) developing and maintaining EOC curriculum; and (4) providing health security technical support to ASEAN member states.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased knowledge and awareness of the role of emergency operations centres among ASEAN member states; (2) strengthened capacity of the ASEAN EOC to deliver regional-specific training to ASEAN member states; and (3) strengthened response of the Emergency Operations Center to health-security related emergencies and disasters among ASEAN member states.
