Project Description
This project aims to enhance the capacity of Canadian small and medium organizations (SMOs) and their local partners to evaluate the impact of their interventions. Managing specific learning and knowledge related to best practices in impact evaluation this project seeks to increase the effectiveness of SMOs to improve the living conditions gender equality and empowerment of women and girls within participant population. Project activities include: (1) evaluating the impacts of selected projects; (2) creating reports guidance material and events to support the SMOs in improving evaluation; (3) building the capacity of SMOs and local partners delivering training on performance measurement monitoring and impact evaluation; and (4) providing mentorship in the application of the new knowledge.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) improved design and implementation of international assistance efforts by Canadian SMOs and local partners based on rigorous scientific evidence and feminist and human rights-based approaches for a more effective impact on living conditions gender equality and empowerment of women and girls; and (2) improved practices by Canadian SMOs and local partners to measure performance monitor and evaluate the impact of international assistance efforts on living conditions gender equality and empowerment of women and girls.
