Project Description

.The "Diyala Youth as Leaders for Peace" project aims to improve social and economic resilience among conflict-affected young women and men in Iraq's Diyala Governorate. The project uses an integrated approach to peacebuilding by: (1) training and supporting youth to actively engage in conflict prevention and promote social cohesion; and (2) investing in livelihood opportunities that enable youth to participate in the socio-economic recovery of their communities.

Expected Results

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) supported youth to actively participate in the construction of peace and the prevention of violent conflict in their communities; and (2) supported youth to actively participate in the socio-economic recovery of their communities.
