Project Description
This project aims to increase the enjoyment of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) especially for indigenous women and adolescent girls experiencing violence poverty marginalization and exclusion in Bolivia. Project activities include: (1) strengthening key institutions’ capacity to engage and protect SRHR; (2) developing programs and strategies to improve SRHR efforts; and (3) promoting awareness of SRHR and related programming. This project implemented by UN Women UNFPA and UNICEF contributes to Canada's 10-year global health commitment.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased availability and use of comprehensive age-appropriate rights-based quality sexual and reproductive health (and violence prevention) services by adolescent girls and boys and LGBTQI+ people free from bias and discrimination; and (2) reduced harmful practices including discriminatory social norms and attitudes sexual and gender-based violence and child early and forced marriage.
