Project Description
This project supports the United Nations (UN) Department of Peace Operations in their ability to conduct monitoring and follow-up on Member State pledges for the 2023 UN Peacekeeping Ministerial. Project activities include: (1) conducting assessment and advisory visits; (2) engaging in bilateral advocacy related to Women Peace and Security Peacekeeping Ministerial pledges; (3) engaging in internal coordination and engagement with troop and police contributing countries to fulfil and track 2023 Peacekeeping Ministerial pledges; and (4) ensuring dedicated planning coordination and substantive support.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased qualified and available uniformed capabilities provided to United Nations peacekeeping operations; (2) increased coordination with troop and police from contributing countries on implementing the 2023 Peacekeeping Ministerial pledges; and (3) strengthened Peacekeeping Ministerial commitments through concrete pledges.
