Project Description
This project aims to increase the exercise of the right to bodily autonomy of girls and adolescents. This project benefits in particular those in more vulnerable conditions in Salvadorian municipalities with a higher prevalence of teenage pregnancy and sexual violence.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased participation of girls and adolescents especially those in more vulnerable conditions in formative processes for their empowerment leadership and participation in communities within areas with higher prevalence of pregnancy and sexual violence; (2) eliminated social and gender norms supporting discrimination limited bodily autonomy and the right of girls and adolescents to a life free of violence promoted in the municipalities with the highest prevalence of teenage pregnancy and sexual violence; and (3) increased access to quality services for sexual and reproductive health and addressed gender violence and harmful practices towards girls and adolescents especially those in more vulnerable conditions in municipalities with higher prevalence of teenage pregnancy and sexual violence.
