Project Description
The BlueOrchard Latin America and Caribbean Gender Diversity and Inclusion Fund aims to increase the financial resilience of women indigenous populations and people of African descent as well as to support their material well-being and the growth of their businesses. To accomplish this the Fund provides commercial loans to financial or microfinance institutions throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) increased adoption of innovative financial products and services by women and underserved groups; (2) improved representation of women as well as indigenous people and people of African descent among employees middle managers and senior managers of financial institutions; and (3) the implementation of smart gender-inclusive financial products and strategies.
