Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender and Intersex Pathways

This project aims to increase funding directed towards improving the lives of lesbian gay bisexual transgender and intersex (LGBTI) persons across the world including improving funding equity for organizations led by marginalized groups (e.g. Bisexual Trans Intersex Women and Youth (BITWY). Project activities include: (1) conducting research surveys on the needs strategies and capacity of LGBTI organizations and networks; (2) producing regional reports on LGBTI movement needs and priorities identified through the regional surveys; and (3) providing training and technical assistance on strategy development and research skills building to LGBTI organizations engaged in LGBTI movement research.

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) enhanced awareness of donors on the priorities strategies and funding gaps of the international and regional LGBTI movements; and (2) increased capacity of LGBTI-led organizations including bisexual intersex trans women and youth led organizations to advocate with donors to influence policy-making and funding strategies.
