Project Description
Through this project Canada provides a contribution to the Conflict-Related Sexual Violence Prevention Multi-Partner Trust Fund (CRSV-MPTF) that help create the implementation of the Framework of Cooperation signed between the Special Representative of the Secretary General on Sexual Violence in Conflict and the Government of Ukraine. It aims to enhance Ukrainian’s capacity to actively prevent and respond to conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV).
Expected Results
The expected results of this project include:(1) ensured holistic survivor-centred prevention and protection responses to CRSV are provided by international and national institutions and actors in Ukraine; (2) strengthened national and international institutions to prevent CRSV in Ukraine by addressing gender-based inequality and discrimination; (3) improved cooperation and information sharing between UN agencies reinforce coordination and improve system-wide response and implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions on CRSV; and (4) increased justice and accountability for CRSV in Ukraine through strengthened capacity and technical expertise of national and international institutions.
