Project Description
This project is using novel and innovative approaches to peacebuilding and social inclusion at local and community levels. It focuses on peace education reconciliation and coexistence. It aims to work primarily with women including young women and non-binary activists. Project activities include: (1) facilitating and coordinating peace dialogues; (2) storytelling as a method of oral data collection and documentation of food practices and shared lived experiences; and (3) holding interactive public exhibitions audio programs and photo essays on food practices and reconciliation.
Expected Results
The expected outcome of the project is reduced ethnic and religious tensions among diverse communities (Sinhalese Tamils and Muslims) in Negombo Kurunegala and Batticala Sri Lanka.
