Project Description

This project contributes to the stabilization of areas previously occupied by Daesh. Project activities include: (1) providing a protective presence to de-escalate tensions; (2) offering strategic training and mentoring to community-based peace mechanisms; (3) facilitating community-led assessments and dialogues to advance inclusive peacebuilding and conflict prevention; and (4) conducting advocacy and enhancing community responsiveness to initiatives on conflict prevention and gender equality.

Expected Results

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) strengthened sustainable community mechanisms infrastructures and strategies that prevent conflict; (2) increased community cohesion that contributes to durable peace; and (3) increased participation of women and girls in community peace and security processes.
