Project Description

This project aims to enhance the security of civilians affected by Daesh-related violence in the regions. Project activities include: (1) carrying out technical surveys to remove the threat of explosive ordnance (EO) and release land in prioritized areas; and (2) deploying community liaison teams to conduct non-technical survey provide explosive ordnance risk education conduct housing land and property due diligence and collect data on the types of EO contamination and the impact of clearance activities on communities.

Expected Results

The expected outcomes of the project include: (1) released habitable and economically productive land in direct support of stabilization efforts in Daesh-affected areas; and (2) increased knowledge of risks and improved safety practices among at-risk communities improving overall physical safety and security.
