Project Description

This project seeks to increase opportunities for women to pursue careers in the nuclear security sector. It helps women actively participate and make meaningful contributions at the leadership level to this sector. This includes serving as role models for future generations of women seeking to enter the field. Project activities include: (1) providing up to 25 two-year scholarships in non-proliferation studies; and (2) providing internship opportunities to gain work experience in nuclear security at the International Atomic Energy Agency. These opportunities will help women from Africa Asia Latin America and the Middle East.

Expected Results

The expected outcomes for this project is the development of women in the nuclear security industry capable of providing strong and effective non-proliferation oversight to their countries.
