The project fosters gender-responsive governance for women and vulnerable populations in 14 Caribbean states. Project activities include: (1) advancing legislative practices for gender mainstreaming; (2) providing curricula and advisory services to women’s organizations; and (3) providing technical support to parliamentary stakeholders related to gender-responsive open parliament practices.

Expected Results

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) increased and more meaningful participation of women in all their diversity in political leadership and decision-making processes in the Caribbean; (2) improved access by women to open and gender-responsive governance structures and decision-making processes in the Caribbean; and (3) increased gender-sensitive actions by Caribbean parliamentarians to address regional issues including sustainable development and climate action.

Progress & Results Achieved
