Project Description
The Blended Climate Finance Program (BCFP) is a partnership between the Government of Canada and the International Finance Corporation that aims to catalyze private sector financing for resilient infrastructure climate-smart agriculture and renewable energy. This Program promotes gender-responsive climate action while providing concessional financing for private sector-led climate change projects in eligible developing countries.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions; (2) reduced vulnerability of businesses and communities to the adverse effects of climate change; and (3) enhanced participation by women in climate mitigation and adaptation-relevant sector or activities.
