Fonds d’assistance technique

This project supports projects in the Canada-African Development Bank Climate Fund (CACF) pipeline to address the technical complexity coordination requirements and reporting obligations related to climate finance operations. Specifically the Technical Assistance Facility provides grants to eligible CACF projects in order to: (1) address the specific costs and risks related to project preparation; (2) increase the potential for achieving optimal results on key areas such as gender and human rights during project origination implementation and supervision; and (3) enhance knowledge management monitoring evaluation and learning from CACF activities.

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) reduction of greenhouse gas emissions; (2) enhanced resilience of local communities in Africa to cope with climate change; and (3) enhanced participation by women in climate mitigation and adaptation-relevant sector or activities.
