Project Description

This project aims to strengthen Mexico's capacity to detect and respond to security incidents involving nuclear or radiological materials within the country. Project activities include: (1) providing eight mobile radiation detection vehicles to the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) for deployment at its borders; and (2) delivering operational and maintenance training as well as deployment strategies and best practices to personnel of SEDENA.

Expected Results

The expected outcome for this project is the effective operation and maintenance of mobile radiation detection vehicles by personnel of Mexico's Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA).
